Taping is different in children.
Background and theory is presented using many practical examples through videos of various paediatric cases. The taping possibilities and precautions for the very young infants, and children of all age groups will be covered. Evidence of the effects of elastic therapeutic tape will be discussed with existing and new hypotheses presented and critically appraised.
A lot of time will be spent with participants becoming acquainted with tape applications and their assessment techniques.

Course Structure
2 full days (9:00 – 17:00) of a combination of lectures, discussions and practical sessions.
Theory: by means of lectures and discussion using powerpoint presentation.
Clinic: practice applying tape on each other with case examples (photos and videos)
Course Content
This 2 day course is designed for the paediatric physiotherapist and occupational therapist working with children with orthopaedic and/or neurological disorders.
This course is a comprehensive practical training course, designed to show how the elastic therapeutic taping can be used as sole treatment modality or together with and complementing other therapeutic interventions.
The aim of this course is to familiarise the participants with elastic therapeutic taping, the current literature and the evidence. To learn more about the skin and physiological movement of skin.
At the end of the course students will have knowledge of the background, the applications and the evidence. They will be proficient in creating and applying specific tape applications
